Seminars

At Friend & Grant we have for a number of years offered business seminars aimed at all sectors of the business community.

Past seminars have included one for Business Startups, the Construction Industry Scheme, Employment Law and Health & Safety Legislation.  

Our seminars are usually carried out at our offices in Strood near Rochester where we have the facilities to provide small seminars for up to 23 people.

Our most recent seminar was held on 14th March on Social Media For Businesses – a FREE Social Media Taster Session. The seminar on Social Media for Business was exclusively for our clients and was carried out by Zoe Cairns.

Zoe showed all present automation tools, twitter tools and lots of different strategies, tips and techniques on how you can create your presence online and build your brand awareness on the internet. Zoe has carried out two seminars for us and all the attendees were blown away by the amount of information provided. Information which a number of attendees commented would have taken ages to research and find.

 JOIN OUR SOCIAL MEDIA GROUP- JUST £20 PER SESSION

Following on from our Social Media seminars we have now set up a small Social Media Group which will meet 4 times during 2012. The first session was held on 11 January 2012 and proved to be a great success with stacks of social media tips which sent all our members away buzzing with great action points aimed at building profiles and ultimately to win new business! 

The Social Media Group is open to clients and non clients of Friend & Grant.

The Social Media Group is run by Zoe Cairns and is a great way to keep abreast of the latest social media developments, to ask your own social media queries and to meet other businesses and compare ideas with them. Numbers are small, no more than 15 so the sessions will be very informal, with ample opportunity for you to participate and to really move your social media plans forwards.

Each session will be about 2 hours long with roughly 50% structured and 50% networking. The first structured session however went on for 1 1/2 hours due to the high number of quetsions!

The sessions are held at our premises and we provide a light lunch and refreshments.

Each session is charged at a fixed cost of only £20 + VAT per attendee. The low cost reflects our investment in our clients' businesses.

The sessions start at 11.30am to end about 1.30 pm.

Training 

If you require Kashflow, Sage Book-keeping or Payroll training or Quickbooks training please enter TRAINING in the free text box next to the title Business Sector at the bottom of this page. Our training is one to one and charged at £70 per hour plus VAT (each session has to be a minimum of 1.5 hours). For training within the Medway towns of Strood, Rochester, Chatham, Rainham and Gillingham there are no costs for travelling time. Outside of this area we charge £25 per hour travelling time. Our training is carried out by Lisa Baker, manager of our accounts department and a Sage Authorised Trainer, and is therefore to the highest standard.
