Friend & Grant goes paperless!
As part of our continuing drive to improve efficiency and reduce our impact on the environment we have recently invested in a paperless office software infrastructure. This has enabled us to handle and store documents electronically and reduce our consumption of paper and other printing materials.
We expect that this will increase the speed of our response to queries from our clients, as we will have more information readily available at our fingertips. Electronic copies of documents are now widely available for our clients if required.
We also expect that the change will enable us to reduce our carbon footprint.
Before the installation of the system we were using over 350 reams of paper (175,000 sheets) in a year not to mention the toners, inks and other consumables. This equates to 21 trees that would have been felled to produce the paper we used in a year.
We will inevitably still need to use some printed resource however the e-mails we receive and are required to maintain copies of are no longer printed and filed but saved directly onto our paperless system. This is the same for file copies of letters, tax returns, accounts and other reports.
If you have any questions about our paperless office solution, electronic data storage or other ways we are attempting to reduce our carbon footprint, please contact us. (by e-mail or telephone, not letter!).
